Allen Louis worked for Whirlpool Corporation as a Service Technician for 23 1/2 years before Whirlpool dissolved their service department in 2001. As a result 425 workers lost their jobs including Allen. Allen found himself back in the work force but did not like the avenue of employment in this field so he decided to start his own company.
In July 2001, Allen, his daughter, Tracie and two technicians started the company while Allen's wife Debbie continue to work full-time. It was Tracie who brainstormed the name ASI that stands for Allen Services Incorporated.
This was a turning point for Allen because he was in control of his destiny. It wasn't until Allen was granted a contract to work for Whirlpool Corporation again as a contractor that his company started to flourish from a one girl office and two technicians to a five girl office and ten technicians. His wife Debbie quit her fulltime job and joined ASI to work fulltime.
